Axel Droxeler, Divinity: Original Sin‘s lead designer, is leaving Larian Studios behind to work with Dreadlocks, a newer studio that is currently developing a 2D cyberpunk RPG currently titled Dex.
Dex, the game now in question, is a KickStarter-funded title that recently put out new information about the game, including the tidbit about Axel’s joining the team. In fact, he has been working with them since September.
For now, Dex is starting to really garner more attention with this news, and the game is on Steam Early Access as I write this. It will be interesting to see what kind of turns the game will take with Droxeler’s addition to the team.
The downside to all this, however, is what it means for Divinity. The series had a fantastic resurgence with Original Sin, which was headed by Droxeler. Hopefully the remaining team can keep up their streak.
You can find Dex on Steam Early Access here, for $15.99.
