Indie developer Louis Rigaud has announced LavaLoop, a rhythm-infused shoot ’em-up game set in a hand-drawn retro-futuristic universe.
LavaLoop is in development for Windows PC (via Steam) with a release set for sometime next year, in 2026.
Here’s a rundown on the game, plus its reveal trailer:
LavaLoop is a 2D shooter/platformer in a hand-drawn Steampunk universe. Play as three musician-fighters, shoot your way through hordes of beat-bots and jump from surprise to surprise in an explosive and crazy retrofuturistic world.
Intense fight sessions of 2-3 minutes follow one another like in a concert. From surprises to surprises, from scenes to scenes, the pace accelerates and leads the dance until the final explosion!
“When technology imposes its infernal rhythm When the frantic music of machines exhausts the planet When the Earth cries tears of lava…Three punk musicians fight to restore balance. Even if it means blowing everything up!”
