Nippon Ichi Software has officially announced Kyōran Makaism, a new action RPG they teased previously as just Kyōran.

Kyōran Makaism is in development for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PlayStation 5 with a release set for January 29th, 2026.

Kyōran Makaism is a brand new 3D action RPG brought to you by the stellar team of director Shunsuke Minowa, character designer Takehito Harada, and composer Tenpei Sato.

Experience the exhilaration of smashing down enemies with overwhelming, unconventional power, featuring flashy moves that can be unleashed with a single button, characters that can be trained up to level 9999, and characters that can be “reincarnated” to become even stronger. Characters with carefully trained stats can deal over a billion damage!

Story

The vast world of the Demon Realm, where diverse demons vie for supremacy. Summoned by Tishiel, the Demon King of the Ketsu Demon Realm—one of countless demon realms—the battle-hardened mercenary “N.A.” is entrusted with a shocking mission.

“Someone ate the pudding from the refrigerator!”

“Ah, the refrigerator… What did you say?”

The pudding in question is the “Shikō Pudding,” created by Tishiel’s late father, the former Supreme Demon King. He demands that “N.A.” retrieve this pudding, stolen by a subordinate who rebelled against him.

The battle to reclaim the “Shikō Pudding” begins now… between the solitary mercenary and the rookie Demon King!
