Konami has announced (via Famitsu) a new Bomberman game.
The game is known as Bomberman Battle (Taisen! Bomberman in Japanese), and it’s coming to Japanese iOS and Android users sometime this winter.
While not being a pachinko game, the smartphone release comes with cross-platform multiplayer, 100 stages of single-player, two gameplay modes (one that lets you play with friends via a shared key, the other is a competitive online mode), and the ability to stream battles to NicoNico via your smartphone.
The original Bomberman developer, Hudson Soft, was disassembled as a company and wholly absorbed into Konami back in March of 2012.
If you’re looking to get in on Bomberman Battle, you can pre-register for the game over on its official website.
