We’ve learned (via Games Talk) that Koei Tecmo is developing Dead or Alive Xtreme 3.

The news was confirmed during today’s Dead or Alive Festival livestream. According to Team Ninja boss Yosuke Hayashi, development on the game has just begun and they’ll be sharing more information later.

It’s worth reiterating that Hayashi did not actually say it by name, however, he did tease that it’s “a game where Dead or Alive characters vacation to a southern beach.”

Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 was the most recent game in the series, seeing a launch for Xbox 360 in November of 2006.
