We’ve learned (via Variety) that Bandai Namco’s iconic mascot platformer Klonoa is returning, albeit in a form that fans probably never asked for.

The anthropomorphic creature is making his debut on the silver screen via Henshin, an American animation production studio.

Henshin founder Rob Pereyda is acting as producer, while the script is being handled by manga artist Hitoshi Ariga, who is also serving as co-producer and character designer (he’s also known for character designs in the Pokemon series). Pereyda has worked on a multitude of Bandai Namco games like Bravoman andWonder Momo.

Further details like when the movie goes into production, as well as a release date, weren’t announced
