• Kizuna Ai anime goes out of its way to promote NFTs

    The Spring 2023 anime Kizuna no Allele featuring the VTuber character Kizuna Ai began promoting NFTs at the end of an episode.

    Kizuna Ai went on hiatus in 2022 while her and her company expressed an interest in growing technologies like the “Metaverse” and of course NFTs.

    NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) are allegedly intended to be a way for users to affiliate digital content with a blockchain token and introduce artificial scarcity. The technology has mostly been used to give Twitter users hexagon profile pictures with monkeys.

    Kizuna no Allele premiered earlier this month and is available to watch on Crunchyroll.
