• Kizuna Ai anime premieres sometime in 2023

    An anime featuring one of the first major VTubers Kizuna Ai will premiere sometime in 2023 according to new promotional material.

    Kizuna Ai began her VTubing career back in 2016 and is even credited with coining the term “Virtual YouTuber” as part of her character. Her new anime project was announced earlier this year and details are still scarce when it comes to the plot of the series. The upcoming anime series will be titled Kizuna no Allele and you can check out the latest teaser image here.

    Ai went on an “indefinite hiatus” earlier this year around the time that her anime series was announced. In the meantime an official “spinoff” VTuber has taken her place, while Ai’s original voice actress has taken on an advisory position in the recently formed Kizuna Ai Co.
