Netherrealm Studios have released a new video for Mortal Kombat X, in which they interview Steve Brownback, a QA analyst on the project and competitive player, about Kitana’s variations.
As he points outs, Kitana’s always been a good choice for defensive players, with her ranged attacks and incapacitating moves like the Fan Lift.
In Mortal Kombat X, each fighter has three variations. Kitana’s are the Royal Storm, meant for zoning and long-range attacks; the Assassin variation, which is an offensive alt that focuses on getting up close with players quickly through the Assassin Dash; and Mournful, a variation in which she uses a staff and glaive, in tribute to her fellow fighter, Jade.
Netherrealm have held a live demo for Kitana and Reptile, in which you can see much more of the characters. That’s here.
Mortal Kombat X is coming to PC, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on April 14.
[Editor’s note: lots of fighting stuff today. See also the new news for Street Fighter V and Dragonball Z: Extreme Butouden.]
