Nintendo has announced Kirby and the Forgotten Land is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 as an upgraded, premium port.
The beloved action-platformer is coming to Switch 2 as Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star-Crossed World, and as the name suggests it will have improved performance and new “Star-Crossed World” content. A release is set for August 28th.
Unlike The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – which are free Switch 2 upgrades for Switch Online subscribers – this new Kirby and the Forgotten Land release will be a paid upgrade for owners of the original game, and a standalone paid release.
The original Kirby and the Forgotten Land was launched for Switch back on March 25, 2022. Get our review here!.
Here’s a blurb on the game, plus a reveal trailer:

The upgrade pack will include this new content which can be played in single-player and local co-op, as well as improved performance for the entire game.
