Kingdom Hearts “Xehanort” Smartphone Game Announced, Launches Spring 2020

Kingdom Hearts Xehanort

Square Enix have announced a new smartphone game in the Kingdom Hearts series, only titled “Xehanort” before its real name is revealed.

The game seems centered around series antagonist Xehanort, with the question “Why did he become the seeker of darkness?” mentioned on the official website and Twitter.

In addition, a “Guess the Name Campaign” is underway. Those who follow the official Twitter account and comment with their guess (along with #KHNameContest) have a chance to win $100 in Amazon Digital Gift Cards. 10 winners will be selected with their “best guess,” with the contest ending January 28th, 2020 at 6:59 p.m. (PT).

The only clue is that the title contains two words with eight letters in total. The Japanese official Twitter account is running a similar contest, with the title being two words with three characters each.

The official website also notes the game will have in-app purchases.

We will keep you posted as we learn more.

“Xehanort” launches Spring 2020 for Amazon Fire, Android, and iOS.
