Kingdom Hearts: Union χ Announced, Set for Worldwide Launch

Square Enix has announced Kingdom Hearts: Union χ, a newly updated version to Kingdom Hearts: Unchained χ.

The game will launch in Japan sometime later this month, and it’s also set for a worldwide release sometime next month. The new update brings a “Union Cross” mode where up to six players can fight enemies together in multiplayer quests. There’s also new story chapters, as well as a “must play” origin story.

Featured above, you can view a teaser video for the coming update.

You can pre-register for the game over on its official website. To commemorate the relaunch and the one-year anniversary of the original game’s release, players will also receive in-game presents by logging in after the update.

If you’re at PAX East this weekend, stop by the Square Enix booth to get the first hands-on look at the game. You’ll also be able to get special buttons and a poster from series illustrator  Tetsuya Nomura, while supplies last.
