Kingdom Come: Deliverance Video Shows How They Captured Their Combat Animations

We already know that Kingdom Come: Deliverance has authentic-for-the-age combat, but what might surprise some fans is that developer Warhorse Studios has taken their fighting engine so seriously that they’ve hired two professional swordsmen to help make it look as real as possible.

Petr Nůsek from ARGO agency and Robert Waschka from Dům rytířských cností, two fellows well-versed in recreating combat scenes for movies and TV, were responsible for adding that authenticity and describe the way they approached the game in the above video.

The choreography went beyond just clashing of swords, with the two men even donning the armor used in the game and performing dodges and rolls while encumbered with it…so don’t expect to be speedily diving across the battlefield in full plate during a fight.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is still expected to release during the 3rd Quarter of 2016 for Windows PC, OS X, and Linux. Console versions will follow at a later date.
