Killing Floor 2 and Road Redemption Get Spooky Halloween 2018 Crossover Event

The Halloween Horrors: Monster Masquerade event for Tripwire’s Killing Floor 2 is now live.

As with most of Killing Floor‘s seasonal events, Monster Masquerade adds a special map populated by themed enemies, limited time achievements, and unique cosmetic items to unlock. Players can also look forward to murdering Zeds with an arsenal of four new weapons, including the HMTech-501 Grenade Rifle, the FN FAL ACOG, the MKb.42(H) Carbine, and the Road Redeemer. You can find a trailer about the new event above.

The Road Redeemer, a baseball bat covered in barbed wire, is also part of a crossover with the motorcycle combat game Road Redemption, which is also published by Tripwire Interactive. This weapon for the berserker class is only available if you own a copy of Road Redemption, though if one player in your group owns it then it will be useable by everyone on the server. Likewise, Road Redemption is getting two Killing Floor-themed character skins that are only unlockable if you own Killing Floor 2.

Monster Masquerade coincides with the release of Update 1071 for Killing Floor 2, which introduces a whole host of tweaks and changes that you can read about here.

The Halloween event for both games will last until November 6th. To celebrate, the Steam versions of both games will be heavily discounted through the month of October.

You can find Killing Floor 2 on Windows PC (via Steam and Humble Store), PS4, and Xbox One for $29.99, while Road Redemption is available on Windows PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam and the Humble Store.
