Double Helix, he studio behind the reboot of Killer Instinct on Xbox One, have released a major patch for the game that adds a host of changes and updates. The most notable of the changes is the swapping out of Jago to Sabrewulf as a free character, meaning fans can now grab Sabrewulf for free.

The patch is 675 MB in size and it also brings lots of bug fixes, interface updates, and various tweaks made to the core gameplay. Now you don’t have to be an Xbox Live Gold member to view the game’s leaderboards, and the signing in with Kinect won’t erase your save data anymore (thank god).

This is a great update for fans of the game because it essentially kicks off the rotating of free characters in the game, as the game itself is free and requires you to pay an extra $4.99 per character. In case that’s too rich for your blood, you could buy them in character packs as well.
