In an alternate past Earth, the Soviet Union investigates the Tunguska Blast and discovers specialized technology of alien origins. They reverse engineer it, upon which a top-ranking commander in the Soviet army goes on a massive rampage across Europe using cutting edge, mechanized armor and weapons. However, you have an elite prototype mech known as the XP-41. It utilizes state-of-the-art weaponry, including melee weapons such as laser blades. It is up to you to fight this army and defeat the Soviets.
According to their blog post on PlayStation.Blog, the funding has allowed for a pipeline to create a high quality game. Now, thanks to the funding, special features have been included such as a powerful Hollywood-caliber score, cut-scenes, voice actors, and much, much more. The complete list can be found here on the PlayStation Blog. Having followed this game for the past few months, it is clear that the funding has gone quite a long way. The visuals are more detailed, the colors pop, and the combat is fierce. Oh, and there’s a mech slicing a tank in half.
