Nintendo and developer Squad have announced that Kerbal Space Program is heading to Wii U early next year.

The game will be ported to the Wii U via the help of third party Flying Tiger. Kerbal Space Program is a physics-based, space flight simulator in which you manage your own space program filled with extra-terrestrial lifeforms, known as Kerbals.

The new Wii U version will support full GamePad play, letting you control the ship from inside the cockpit using the controller, as well as set up new flight plans with the touch screen. You’ll also be able to steer your spacecraft with the motion controls.
