Publisher Private Division and developer Squad have announced Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PS5 in fall 2021.
While Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PS5 in fall 2021, the game will cost $39.99 and owners of the original game on Xbox One or PS4 can get the next-gen version as a free upgrade.
The new versions of the game will allow for upgraded resolution, improved framerate, advanced shaders, better textures, and additional performance improvements. Other improvements include 1440p resolution and an improved framerate, but the Xbox Series S runs the game at 1080p with an improved framerate. Lastly, the additional system memory on these consoles results in a more stable game experience and allows for an increase of part count on player’s crafts and contraptions.
Both companies also announced that Kerbal Space Program 2 is also coming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 alongside the previously announced Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 versions when it launches sometime in 2022.
Kerbal Space Program has been available for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
