Basecamp Games have released their metal-infused opus to Steam – Karmaflow: The Rock Opera Videogame.
The game is a puzzle-platformer in which you play as the Karmakeeper, tasked with restoring the balance of a multitude of worlds filled with unique characters.
Here’s the kicker though – the game is essentially the power/progressive metal game I’ve always wanted, more or less, if the voice and musical talent is anything to go by.
The current lineup of vocalists and musicians lending their voices to various in-game characters is pretty amazing:

As you explore and restore order to the various worlds, you’ll encounter various music and vocals that come and go through an adaptive music system – which is probably the closest thing we have currently to a video game rock opera.
The team at Basecamp Games are completely self-funded and published, thanks to a successful Indiegogo campaign, which raised €30,883 in roughly 2 months.
Even if you’re not into puzzle platformers, if you’re a fan of power or progressive metal, I implore you to consider looking into this game, as any edition you get comes with the entire soundtrack. I mean come on, Tony Kakko and Simone Simons are in there!
