Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash adds Ultimate Mechamaru in new update, more via DLC

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash

Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Byking have released new DLC and a free update for Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash, their 2v2 fighting game.

The 2-versus-2 fighting game added Ultimate Mechamaru as a playable character as a free update, as well as characters Mei Mei, Naobito Zen’in, and Choso via paid DLC.

Here’s a rundown on the new update and DLC, plus a trailer:

The paid DLC, Shibuya Incident, introduces an additional scenario retelling one of the series’ most pivotal arcs. Players will experience the fateful Halloween night where Suguru Geto unleashes cursed spirits to force Satoru Gojo to confront him, trapping civilians and exorcists in the Shibuya neighbourhood.

The DLC also brings three iconic characters playing a key role in the Shibuya Incident – Mei Mei, Naobito Zen’in, and Choso – each with their own unique skills and powerful attacks. Players can also enjoy new outfits for six characters and additional customisation items, including a title, emblem, nickname, plate, and menu customisation.

In addition to the new DLC, the Free Update #4 features Ultimate Mechamaru as a playable character, adds new enemies in Online Co-op and Arcade modes, four new stages, and some additional items for every player!

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash has been available since February 2024 across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PS4, and PS5
