Independent developer Disastercake has confirmed the Wii U version of Soul Saga, their Kickstarter-funded JRPG-inspired game, is still coming.
The developer responded to a fan on the Kickstarter page question section, stating:
“A lot of fans are asking me to port Soul Saga to the Switch. I’m still planning to port Soul Saga to WiiU (after PC version is complete), but unfortunately I don’t have any further information on the Switch right now. If anything evolves on either of those fronts I’ll be sure to make an update covering it.”
The Wii U version was promised as a stretch goal, alongside its PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and Xbox One versions.
Soul Saga was originally funded on Kickstarter back in 2013, and was promised as heavily influenced by iconic Japanese RPGs like Final Fantasy, Suikoden, Breath of Fire, and Persona.
