Journey is Set for a Summer Release via both Retail and Digital on Playstation 4

journey 04-16-15-1

We’ve learned (via GameSpot) that Journey is making its leap to Playstation 4 some time this summer.

The game will be coming on a retail disc, bundled with thategamecompany’s previous two games, flOw and Flower. The studio has compared the PS4 version to the PS3 original as mostly just running at an improved framerate – 60 frames per second to be exact.

At the time of publishing, there is no word of any further addition to the PS4 version of Journey. The game will also be coming to the Playstation Store, as a separate digital release.

Journey was one of the most unique experiences on the PS3. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t played it.

Awesome. Never owned a PS3, and this is another one of those games that has always made me regret not owning the console. It’s too bad most of the games will never be properly ported over because Sony is all hot and bothered by the idea of streaming video games.

Definitely a retail purchase for me.

Journey was my game of the year back when it came out. I have yet to play another game quite like it. I may honestly pick this up even though I already have the PS3 collectors edition seeing I like it so much.
