Jotun developer Thunder Lotus Games has announced their latest game: Sundered.

The Lovecraftian Metroidvania game has players exploring a devastated world as the character Eshe. Throughout your journeys, you’ll encounter various eldritch monsters thriving in procedurally-generated areas.

“Resist or embrace,” the game’s description reads. Thunder Lotus teases that you’ll be struggling to fight for your own survival, and ultimately your sanity. As per their previous outing in Jotun, the team is once again prepping up gorgeous, hand-drawn visuals.

The bosses in game are naturally massive in scale, you’ll need to prepare for each boss via collecting tainted relics. Depending on how you proceed, you’ll eventually get one of the game’s multiple endings.

Sundered will launch across PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and Linux sometime next year.
