Following the news that Blizzard Entertainment is remastering the original StarCraft in glorious 4K ultra HD, many fans wondered if other classic games in their repertoire would get shiny, high-definition remasters as well.
Now, a new job posting has us thinking Blizzard is remastering Diablo II and even WarCraft III. The job posting is for a senior software engineer, server.
“Compelling stories. Intense multiplayer. Endless replayability. Qualities that made StarCraft, Warcraft III, and Diablo II the titans of their day,” reads the job posting description.
“Evolving operating systems, hardware, and online services have made them more difficult to be experienced by their loyal followers or reaching a new generation.” Here’s where things get interesting:
“We’re restoring them to glory, and we need your engineering talents, your passion, and your ability to get tough jobs done.”
