Indie developer FullMoon Shrine has released a playable demo for Kisaragi, their third-person shooter where Japanese urban legends meet absurd combat.
The new demo for Kisaragi is now available for Windows PC (via Steam and itch.io), giving players a look at the main game’s gameplay and mechanics.
For those unfamiliar with Japanese internet culture, the game is based on the 2chan urban legend “Kisaragi Station”, a fictitious train station that is prone to harbor lots of paranormal events.
Here’s a rundown on the game, plus a new trailer:
Welcome to the station that never existed.
Kisaragi is a third-person shooter where Japanese urban legend meets absurd comedy.
Based on the myth of a train station that appears when you should not be there, the game throws you into a nightmare that refuses to take itself seriously.
Expect eerie environments, stupidly dangerous enemies, and a protagonist who solves paranormal problems with bullets and bad decisions.
This is horror, but it knows you are laughing.
