Famitsu has revealed that the Playstation 4 has sold over 322,083 units in its first two days of being available to the Japanese public.
While not quite as robust in sales to the launches the console saw in other territories, you have to factor in the size of the Playstation 4’s home country, as well as its population, in comparison. The Playstation 4 sold over 250,000 units in the U.K. within 48 hours, while it sold over a million units within the first 48 hours in the United States.
In comparison the Playstation 3 sold 88,443 units within the first two days of sales in Japan, while the Playstation 2 had a much stronger launch at 650,552 units sold at launch. The Wii U sold similar numbers within its launch, breaking roughly 308,570 units in two days.
