Japanese Closed Beta for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Set for August 26

Square Enix has announced the first details for the Dissidia Final Fantasy NT closed beta in Japan.

The beta will kick off August 26th and run through September 4th. Users can sign-up for a chance to get a spot via an application ticket on the PlayStation Store, between August 8th through the 20th. If there’s a ton of applications (probably), the publisher will select winners via lottery.

You can expect 14 characters from the full version of the game, as well as various gameplay modes like a tutorial, computer battle, and class match.

In related news, Jecht from Final Fantasy X was confirmed for the game’s arcade version earlier today. You can read more about that here.

Dissidia Final Fantasy is now available in Japanese arcades. A PlayStation 4 version, titled Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, is launching worldwide sometime early next year. A closed beta for the game is also planned for sometime this summer in North America and Europe. In case you missed it, you can find our exclusive, hands-on E3 2017 video preview for the game here.
