Ever since the now shuttered THQ handed the rights back to Tomonobu Itagaki and his team at Valhalla Game Studios, they’ve been hard at work, quietly finishing up the game.

Still, we haven’t really seen or heard much about it, but it seems like that is going to change very soon, if Itagaki’s words from an interview with 4Gamer are anything to go by:

Next year when we’ll finally launch our title Devil’s Third. Currently the game is 80% complete and it looks very finished. However, I still feel like the game needs some further polishing. This is the reason why I became an independent developer. I want to extend an apology to our fans for worrying them, next year we’re going to release it for sure, so please stay tuned.

This is definitely exciting news, as the game has been silently moving along, despite fans becoming worried over its fate after the closure of THQ.

Perhaps this means we’ll get a good look at the game during next year’s E3 Expo?
