Despite Namco Bandai previously stating they had no plans to localize the Tales games that have been released on Playstation Vita, we’ve caught wind of some very interesting pieces of information that seem to say otherwise. In a post on NeoGAF, we’ve learned that an internal Gamestop release date list has Tales of Heart on it.
The list, which you can see here, has the game listed for release in January of next year. While this may be a placeholder, another larger list has been shown, listing the game for the same date. What’s even more interesting is that a Reddit user was actually able to put money down to pre-order the game at Gamestop. I know many of you are probably already yelling “Brandon, those are just placeholders, as long as a game is listed you can pre-order it!” and you might be right.
This could also be rumblings pointing to the game being localized by Sony’s new third party production team, a team that specializes in localizing and porting games to Playstation platforms. Take a guess at what game was requested a lot for Playstation Vita? Yep, Tales of Hearts R, alongside a slew of other JRPGs, but Hearts R did receive quite a few votes. Perhaps this is nothing, and yet it may be something – we’ll keep you guys posted.
