Nintendo have put up a launch trailer for the upcoming third-person cover shooter, Ironfall: Invasion, and an interview with the developers, V.D. Dev. You can watch them below.
Ironfall has both a singleplayer campaign and a multiplayer mode. In the singleplayer campaign, players assume the role of either Jim or Samantha, and must shoot their way through eleven levels in order to repel an alien robot invasion. In the multiplayer, up to six people can battle each other in six different arenas.

Ironfall: Invasion will be available through the Nintendo eShop on February 13 for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS.

Interview
The interview reveals that developers V.D. Dev have previously worked on others’ games, but Ironfall: Invasion will be the first they’ve developed and published on their own. The inspiration for this title, they say, is Jim Power, a game they helped make 20 years ago.
In order to get Ironfall to look the way it does, they “rewrote the graphical drivers of the hardware in assembly language, so [they] could use every bit of power from the GPU.” Thanks to the extra work, they were able to include lighting effects and special effects in the game, “the likes of which you might find on a home console.”
The developers also discuss controllers and platforms toward the end of the video: the game can be played with the Nintendo 2DS’ stylus and touch screen, it’s compatible with the Circle Pad Pro and, on the New 3DS, players will be able to make use of the C-stick.
