3D Realms have announced Phantom Fury, the follow-up to 2019’s Ion Fury.
Phantom Fury is coming in 2023 to Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series XIS.
Phantom Fury is set many years after the events of Ion Fury. Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison awakens from a coma in a new world with a new bionic arm. At the behest of an old colleague, Shelly is sent on a dangerous mission across the US in search of the legendary Demon Core before it can fall into the wrong hands.
Phantom Fury promises to deliver more absurd action with an arsenal of high-power weaponry to fans of retro-FPS games. Expect over 20 new and returning weapons, larger groups of enemies, insane set piece battles, some vehicle segments, unlockable skills and upgrades, and highly interactive environments.
