Introducing Slavic-themed Indie RPG “Fantasiam”

Indie RPGs are commonplace, and after CD Projekt’s success, you can’t say that slavic-themed RPGs are anything new either, but indie developer Belmin Kozlić has taken a shot at it regardless, and with fairly impressive results. His new RPG, Fantasiam, is an Unreal Engine 4 based game that has some very striking visuals, with pastel colored flora and light blue skies giving it an almost hallucinatory look.

Based on Slavic myth, Fantasiam focuses more on exploration and light puzzle solving than combat, with its open world encouraging players to discover the world more than destroy it. There is also an emphasis placed on world lore, with the developer hoping to expose more people to his culture’s myths by way of the game.

Fantasiam is game that is focused on puzzles, exploration and story telling, with light elements of RPG. It is set in beatiful, colorful and huge world following with the Slavic mythology setting. The more You explore, the more You will discover! Quick note: Trailer that is linked now is 3 two months old. We are almost finished with our new trailer! Game features: -Beatiful fantasy world! -Multi-region landscape to explore! -Puzzles! -Exploration! -Story driven game! -Light elements of RPG (including inventory to use, and journal to read) following the multi choice quests! And more to come as we develop and listen the community.
The new video brings quite a few things including some of the systems we are planing to have in the game like inventory and journal system. It also shows new areas of our world, following with impressive visuals that are made with Unreal Engine 4. We know the video could be better at few elements but for us, as an indie developers it is also hard to do something if you can not find right people for that.
It also discovers more details about the story, but we will not share a lot of details until we have everything sorted out. The big step we are taking is the Slavic mythology as the background. As there is small number of books and written documents it will be really challenging to bring interesting story to the players.

If you’re interested, you can follow Fantasiam on Facebook or look through older videos on its Youtube channel.
