Into the Fire is a survival extraction game where the enemy is a volcano

Into the Fire

Showcased with a new trailer during Day of the Devs at Summer Game Fest, the latest project from The Invincible developer Starward Industries, Into the Fire, drops you onto Dante’s Archipelago, where a massive volcanic eruption has turned the islands into a living nightmare.

Your mission isn’t to rack up kills or loot treasure. Instead, you’re racing against time to rescue stranded survivors and animals before lava flows, ash storms, earthquakes, and collapsing terrain wipe everything out.

You will use suppression pistols, extinguishing shotguns, ziplines, and other gadgets to control fires, clear escape routes, and reach people trapped in dangerous areas.

Back at camp, the people you save help expand your settlement, unlocking new buildings, equipment, and story content. It’s a clever progression system that makes every rescue feel meaningful.

Into the Fire is set to release later this year on PC via Steam in Early Access.
