Publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer New World Interactive have announced the release date for Insurgency: Sandstorm.
The tactical, team-based FPS will launch on September 18th for Windows PC. Before its full release, there will be two “pre-order beta” tests, the first of which is actually live right now. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the game featuring some raw PVP gameplay.
The first beta includes three maps, dozens of weapons (and hundreds of loadouts), all of the currently planned game modes, and fully integrated vehicle and fire support systems. The new beta is scheduled to run through this coming weekend, and will end on August 13th.
The second beta, which includes all six maps, is planned for August 30th and will run all the way to its release in September. It’s worth pointing out there is a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release planned for Insurgency: Sandstorm, but they currently don’t have a release window.
If you’re looking to get into the game right now, you’ll obviously need to pre-order it to get instant access. Insurgency: Sandstorm is currently available on on Steam with a 10% discount. If you own the original Insurgency, you’ll get an extra 10% off the price as well.
