Insomniac Games have announced their upcoming underwater metroidvania adventure, Song of the Deep, has gone gold.

With the game launching on July 12th, this means the final build of the game has been readied and sent off to GameTrust, their publisher via GameStop’s new publishing program.

Fans can expect the game to put you in control of a young girl as she explores the deep, in search of her father. The aquatic adventure is focused on “discovery, skill, and suspense” alongside what Insomniac poises as an “unforgettable narrative.”

When Song of the Deep launches on July 12th, it will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. With GameStop publishing the game, retail copies will be exclusive to GameStop stores.
