Namco Bandai has revealed a whole bunch of information for their upcoming Sword Art Online Playstation Vita spinoff, titled Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment.
Some of the more interesting bits are having a first person mode, and carrying around your partner as if you were getting hitched.
Filia (voiced by Yui Ishikawa)
Kirito bumps into this mysterious girl while exploring the Hollow Area.
The City of 76 Layers – Arc Sophia
This is the same city that was featured in Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment. The regions within it showcased in the PS Vita version have been completely transformed into something new. Coming from this, a new story begins here.
Field
The fields within the PS Vita version game are definitely lovely. There are lots of new things to see in the field, and if battles are compared to the ones in Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment, the battles are more glorious and intense.
Character Action
Just like in Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment, your partner is a crucial element of gameplay. In Hollow Fragment, the total number of partners you can journey with has been increased.
Here are some descriptions of things you can do with your partners:
As you develop your relationship with your partners, if you get on good terms, you can hold hands as you browse the streets of Aincrad.
If holding hands wasn’t enough, you can also carry your partner through the streets of Aincrad, which is definitely sure to raise a few eyebrows.
Subjectivity Mode
Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment is coming with a new subjective point of view, meaning you can walk around pretending you’re in a Bethesda RPG. I’m kidding, but you’ll be able to view the story through the eyes of Kirito.
Avatar
You’ll be able to completely customize your Kirito avatar in Hollow Fragment. This includes changing his hair, face, eye color, name and his voice.
Here are some examples of Kirito being customized:
Multiplayer
In the multiplayer mode for Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, up to your players will be able to play simultaneously with each having a partner, for a total of eight characters.
