The latest entry in the Dragon Quest series has left fans disappointed.

Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai is out, and things are not looking good. The game currently holds a Mixed score on Steam, boasting 60% negative reviews.

One of the most common complaints is the lack of exploration, as the game only seems to feed the player with cutscenes and battles, alternating between the two without giving the player room to explore.

Fans of the franchise have also complained about the game’s length, usage of anime stills, and shallow combat. Multiple reviews go so far as to compare Infinity Strash to a mobile game.

Publications have been slightly kinder to the game, as it sits on Metacritic with a 60 score, made up of 82% mixed reviews by critics.
