Infinity Runner, an Endless Runner Meets Mirror’s Edge, Coming to Consoles Soon

In Infinity Runner, players control a prisoner from a first-person perspective, as he runs, jumps, and engages in reflex-based combat in order to try to escape from a spaceship. You can watch the trailer for it above.

The story for the game would not be out of place in a sci-fi horror B-movie: The Infinity, the largest spaceship ever built, has delved into deep space in order to secure a new home for humanity. Somehow a werewolf gets on this spaceship, and begins to hunt its inhabitants.

Developers Wales Interactive say:

Infinity Runner centres on a prisoner desperately trying to escape the decaying ship and the clutches of the terror within. It’s a sci-fi action running game that features 14 action-packed levels, an endless Arcade Mode and a kick-ass Story Mode.

The game also supports Oculus Rift on the PC.

Infinity Runner is already available through Steam for Windows, Linux, and Mac PCs, and will be coming to the PS4 and Xbox One on April 22. It costs £4.99 / €6.99 / $6.99, depending on where you live.

Wales Interactive do intend to bring it to the Wii U, although when that will happen hasn’t been announced yet.
