Indie developer Lucid Rain Studios has announced INFERIUS,  new Lovecraftian and divine comedy-inspired deckbuilder game.

INFERIUS is in development for Windows PC (via Steam). A release date wasn’t announced but you can sign up for its planned beta.

Here’s a rundown on the game, plus its reveal trailer:

A blend of Dante’s Inferno and Lovecraftian horror. A first-person roguelike deckbuilder using the Major Arcana Tarot Cards to strategize against the horrors lurking in the darkness. Build the perfect deck, challenge each ruler of the 9 levels of hell, die often… and repeat.

Descend Through the 9 Dominions of the Inferno

Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Anger, Heresy, Violence, Fraud, and Treachery. Each dominion is reigned by a ruler embodying the sin of their dominion.

First-Person Horror Deckbuilder
