Indie developer Chris Emerson is a pretty die-hard Donald Trump fan, so much so that he created what’s essentially a video game tribute to the 45th President of the United States.
The game is titled simply Super POTUS Trump, and it’s actually more game than most topical or joke releases made to capitalize on trending events.
It’s certainly interesting to see a game so unabashedly supporting the polarizing Commander in Chief, let alone one that chronicles his opponents during his 2015-2016 election campaign.
Featured above, you can view a trailer for the game’s first episode, “The Road to the White House,” which starts with you fighting “Fakes News” and ends with you confronting “Crooked Hillary.”
Some users have claimed the game is satire, if so it’s a pretty well-made satire considering there’s lots of other games that have you taking over the world as President Trump, live out day-to-day life as President Trump in VR, and some even having you punch the POTUS in the face.
Here’s a rundown on the game:
Some may call this propaganda. Others may say it’s gloating. While those assumptions admittedly may have a shred of truth to them, my hope is that most see this game as I do … as a fun, light-hearted but sincere salute to Donald J. Trump’s amazing and successful run for the U.S. presidency. However people see it, this was just something I had to create … so I did!
This “mini” game consists of 6 “battles” between Donald J. Trump and a handful of the enemies he faced during his campaign, namely:
- Fake News
- Southern Border
- Protesters
- Hollywood
- The Swamp
- “Crooked” Hillary
The gameplay is meant to be more of an entertaining experience than a much of a challenge but hopefully it’s a good mix of both. With each battle win players can choose to upgrade their health (HP) for future battles or get more “Winning Coins” to unlock additional hats and outfits. The first battle is free and you can purchase the other 5 in-game if you enjoy it.
