Level-5 has announced Inazuma Eleven Ares.

The new cross-media title will receive both an anime adaptation, as well as a Nintendo 3DS game. Featured above, you can view a pilot teaser for the new anime series.

The new title is essentially an alternate reality of the original Inazuma Eleven, where (spoiler) aliens never showed up.

The story involves a group of young kinds that are sadly witnessing their local soccer grounds shut down at their local school. Instead, they all decide to move to Tokyo so they can further pursue soccer.

While the new anime is set to launch sometime next summer in Japan, Level-5 hasn’t decided when to release it outside of Japan.
