The anime adaptation of the series In the Land of Leadale will premiere this upcoming January as part of the Winter 2022 anime season.

In the Land of Leadale is an isekai fantasy series that began as a novel in 2010 by Ceez, and a light novel in 2019 by Ceez and artist Tenmaso. A manga adaptation was released later in the same year with artist Dashio Kashimi. The anime was announced earlier this year, and Maho Film will be animating.

The series follows Keina Kagami, who is put on life support after an accident. By miracle or happenstance, she finds herself in the world of Leadale, named after the VRMMORPG of the same name.

Even so, this world of Leadale seems different to the game she knows. This includes that, thanks to the game’s alternate account “Foster System;” she has three fully-grown children, despite never being in a relationship.
