An anime adaptation of In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki (Kunoichi Tsubaki no Mune no Uchi) has been announced for 2022.

In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki is the latest anime based on the works of Souichiro Yamamoto; who’s largely known for his series Teasing Master Takagi-san.

The currently ongoing 2018 manga series follows the young ninja of the Akane Clan, an isolationist group of kunoichi who are forbidden to interact with men. Despite these rules, the titular Tsubaki can’t help her curiosity nor can she help the romantic fluttering in her heart when the topic of boys is brought up. There have been six volumes as of November of this year.

CloverWorks will be animating, directed by Takuhiro Kadochi, and written by Konomi Shugo. At the time of publishing an English release for the series has yet to be announced.
