File this one under bizarre: we’ve learned (via Games Talk) that Imageepoch’s CEO, Ryoei Mikage, is apparently missing.
The news comes via the official Japanese Twitter account of Idea Factory. The new tweets from Yoshiaki Satou, CEO of the company and board member of Compile Heart, revealed that he is apparently trying to get in contact with Mikage in regards to business dealings on their marketing for Makai Shin Trillion.
Here’s the two messages posted by Satou:
“A Message from CEO Yoshiaki Satou: I haven’t been able to privately reach Ryoei Mikage, CEO of Imageepoch. As a result, I am forced to make an attempt to contact him on Twitter […] If anyone out there is able to get a hold of him, please let him know that I am looking to speak with him regarding matters with Makai Shin Trillion‘s advertising.”
At the time of publication, there is no information about the current whereabouts or state of Mikage-san. This somewhat unsettling development follows on reports of Imageepoch, his company, having major financial troubles. Despite the cloud of gloom over the company, Sega picked up Stella Glow, their latest game, and Atlus recently confirmed a Western localization of it.
We’ll keep you updated.
