The Ikebukuro Halloween Cosplay Festival in Japan recently broke its record for the highest amount of visitors to the cosplay extravaganza.
The event was held in Ikebukuro, Tokyo on October 28th and 29th, and about 141,000 individuals came to celebrate the spooky season over the two days. The Halloween festival occurs annually and it initially began in 2014.
Sachiko Kobayashi, a singer who served as an ambassador for the gathering, dressed as Muzan Kibutsuji from Demon Slayer, and the “Cosplayer of the Year 2024” contest took place on the main stage of Ike Sun Park.
About 400 people took part in the “Ike Haro Cosplay Parade”, said to be the largest amount ever.
