IGN Entertainment acquires Eurogamer, Rock Paper Shotgun, and more

IGN Entertainment has acquired Gamer Network Limited and all the websites they own (including multiple IGN competitors) from PAX owner ReedPop.

According to Gamesindustry.biz, the acquisition was made for an “undisclosed sum” of money. IGN Entertainment now owns the following sites:

  • GamesIndustry.biz
  • Eurogamer
  • Rock Paper Shotgun
  • VG247
  • Dicebreaker

Gamer Network also held undisclosed shares of Outside Xbox, Digital Foundry and Hookshot (which operates Nintendolife, PushSquare, PureXbox and Time Extension).

IGN Entertainment exists under the entertainment division of Ziff Davis who already owns IGNHowLongtoBeat, Lifehacker, Mashable, and even digital storefront Humble Bundle.
