Valve has confirmed iFixit is an authorized Steam Deck replacement parts reseller, the first official repair solution for the incoming handheld.
The do-it-yourself focused company offers a wide array of tools for users to do repairs on their computers or other electronic devices, so the news that iFixit is an authorized Steam Deck replacement parts reseller makes sense. Valve also confirmed iFixit is now an official reseller for Valve Index VR parts.
In related news, iFixit just posted a new teardown video of Steam Deck, showing off the entirety of the handheld PC’s innards and its configuration.
Valve’s Steam Deck is available for pre-order in three flavors: $399 (64GB), $529 (256GB), and $649 (512GB), over on the Steam store, and is set to launch on February 25th.
