D3 Publisher has fully revealed their curious new idol-themed PS Vita game, titled simply Idol Death Game TV.

We’ve got the first details and screenshots for the game, via Famitsu:

As the name implies, you’ll be following the twisted death game involving leading idol group Project 47. The game is being developed by studio Witch Craft.

An action-adventure game, players will be able to play as any one of the idols that appear in the game, ranging from low-ranking girls to the most popular of all.

The story involves a mysterious competition rife with an even stranger selection process.

Girls that are not selected by the judges will face their death, and pending your actions in the audition process, the characters that make it out alive will change as well.

Only the most successful idol will make it out on top, and alive.

Idol Death Game TV is launching for PS Vita on October 20th in Japan.
