PvE survival game Icarus is getting a new map, story content, and over 100 new items in its New Frontiers expansion.

New Frontiers is a major expansion for the PvE survival game Icarus, adding a new map featuring volcanic, swamp, and alien grassland biomes, populated by mutated and alien creatures and bosses. Advance the story from your Open World base with new Operations that delve into the mysteries of this alien planet. Collect new resources and craft over 100 new items.

When it launched in December 2021, Icarus reached number one on Steam’s Global Top Sellers Charts and quickly sold over one million copies. RocketWerkz has published an update to Icarus based on player feedback every single week since launch in December 2021, and New Frontiers is the culmination of that shared vision between the players and development team.

Icarus: New Frontiers takes place in a volcanic planet where terraforming processes failed, making the planet too dangerous for prospecting.

Icarus is available on Microsoft Windows (through Steam). The New Frontiers expansion is scheduled to release on August 24, 2023.
