Nintendo have announced the release date and some of the content for the Expansion Pass for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
The new trailer shows us the content coming in the first waves including being able to play as a Guardian, Link’s new Flail weapon, the Master Cycle weapon for Zelda, new challenges in the Royal Ancient Lab, higher ranking enemies, and the Apocalyptic difficulty.
The contents of the second wave were also teased, with new character vignettes, an expanded roster, new stages, and new battle skills for existing characters noted at the end of the trailer. Those who buy the DLC will also get the Prototype Ancient Sword and Prototype Ancient armor for Link.

The expansion pass launches June 18th with the first wave; Pulse of the Ancients. The second wave, Guardian of Remembrance will launch November 2021. You can find the rundown on the DLC (via Nintendo) below.
Two waves of downloadable content are coming in the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass DLC. Newly added characters, stages, and more are all on their way! Purchase this expansion pass to get both waves of DLC as they are released. As a purchase bonus, you’ll also get a new weapon, the Prototype Ancient Sword, and Prototype Ancient equipment for Link to wear.
Wave 1: Pulse of the Ancients (Available June 18, 2021)
The Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass kicks off in June with an expanded roster, newly added weapon types, and challenging enemies. Stop by the Royal Ancient Tech Lab to test yourself with new challenges to unlock weapons and new helpful features! Then, dominate the battlefield as the new playable Battle-Tested Guardian or try out the added weapon types—the Flail for Link and Master Cycle for Zelda. These new combat styles will come in handy in the new Apocalyptic difficulty and against added enemies like the bomb-throwing Moblin and a Giant Chuchu.
Wave 2: Guardian of Remembrance (Available November 2021)
This wave of the Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Expansion Pass will bring new character vignettes, added stages, an expanded roster, and new battle skills for existing characters.
